On September 15th, Governor Hochul announced the launch of an enrollment drive for the expanded Energy Affordability Program – the utility discount program directed by the Public Service Commission, which is available to approximately 3.5 million households. Half of all New York households are now eligible for relief through New York State’s Energy Affordability Program. The Energy Affordability Program provides eligible customers with utility bill discounts they can count on each month.
