Hiking Trails in the area, Brace Mountain, Harlem Valley Rail Trail, Taconic State Park at Rudd Pond, and Eddie Collins Memorial Park.
Hunting Season typically runs from September to May. Big Game starts October 1.

Services for Town of North East residents are provided by arrangement through the Village of Millerton recreation program. Facilities include use of the playground, picnic area, pavilion, basketball court, skate-park, and ball fields of Eddie Collins Field.
